Receive text alerts when U.S. flag is to be at half-staff
The American Legion is offering members, veterans and patriots the opportunity to receive text alerts when the president declares flags to be lowered to half-staff.
To receive these text alerts, simply text the word flag to 534466. You will receive a confirmation text within a few minutes.
The service is free but message and data rates may apply.
